A Flower Photo Shoot with a Difference - Wedding Flowers inspired by the Paintings of Old Dutch Masters

Pensive bride with wedding bouquet from phot shoot - Wedding Flowers Inspired by Old Dutch Masters Earlier this year we were asked to design a range of wedding florals for a photo shoot. The brief was to use the paintings of old Dutch masters for inspiration. more 1 We're certainly not art experts but to us Confetti Magazine's brief meant using paintings like Vermeer's "Girl with the Pearl Earring or Rembrandt's "The Night Watch" as our influence.
2 The setting was a beautifully restored Georgian town-house in Dublin city centre - 10 Ormond Quay which makes for a spectacular venue for smaller weddings, events and of course photo shoots.3 To get the look we were after we decided to use Ivy, Asparagus Fern, Parrot Tulips, Hydrangea, Ranunculus, Trailing Amaranthus, Viburnum Snowball, David Austen Roses and Euphorbia.4 This particular selection of flowers helped us achieve the rich, opulent yet informal style we were after.5 Of course none of these images would be possible without the hard work of a small dedicated team including a very talented stylist, beautiful model and wonderful photography.
