Wedding Flowers Inspired by Old Dutch Paintings

A Flower Photo Shoot with a Difference – Wedding Flowers inspired by the Paintings of Old Dutch Masters

Pensive bride with wedding bouquet from phot shoot - Wedding Flowers Inspired by Old Dutch Masters
Earlier this year we were asked to design a range of wedding florals for a photo shoot. The brief was to use the paintings of old Dutch masters for inspiration.

1
We’re certainly not art experts but to us Confetti Magazine’s brief meant using paintings like Vermeer’s “Girl with the Pearl Earring or Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch” as our influence.

2
The setting was a beautifully restored Georgian town-house in Dublin city centre – 10 Ormond Quay which makes for a spectacular venue for smaller weddings, events and of course photo shoots.
3
To get the look we were after we decided to use Ivy, Asparagus Fern, Parrot Tulips, Hydrangea, Ranunculus, Trailing Amaranthus, Viburnum Snowball, David Austen Roses and Euphorbia.
4
This particular selection of flowers helped us achieve the rich, opulent yet informal style we were after.
5
Of course none of these images would be possible without the hard work of a small dedicated team including a very talented stylist, beautiful model and wonderful photography.
